The author is using Google Notepad for storing bookmarks. Not a bad idea at all. Notebook is better for storing bookmarks than Google Bookmarks itself. :)
And the BlogThis has it's old functionality back, with or without Google Toolbar for Firefox. All the extensions work the same way again.
